Trivia of Terror – Round 4 – Results Edition
UPDATE – The results have been tallied and the winners revealed. Taking the top two spots are women which only proves one thing – the Chick Flick is Dead. Thanks to all for participating. I hope you guys had fun. My next contest will launch in early December (December 7th to be precise) when I return with the 3rd installment of the perennial favorite – The Ho Ho Ho Throwdown – which focuses on holiday pop-culture (think National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, Rudolph, The Waitresses, etc). ‘Til then, have a Happy Halloween.

Trivia of Terror – Round 3 – Results Edition

Well, we’re midway through the contest and we still have a real battle on our hands – with it being anyone’s game up near the top. Of course, there are a few unfortunate souls who have apparently disregarded Tangina’s voice and crossed on through to the other side (sorry George) but they should still stick with it simply for the fun of it all. I can’t promise an all football movie trivia contest (as the aforementioned George seems to be angling for) but maybe he can make some last minute Rudy heroics in this skirmish.

Trivia of Terror – Round 2 – Results Edition
UPDATE – The answers and Leaderboard have been added below. Round 3 questions will be up on Monday morning – October 19th – around 8:00 a.m. EST.
With 12 contestants, we’ve got a good showing for this contest. While it doesn’t reach the heights of the 2o+ that we had for the 80’s and 90’s-themed bouts, 12 makes for a nice field of competition. I realize the Halloween horror can be a niche market that scares off all but the heartiest of souls.
And truth be told, I’m not much of a horror movie buff, despite the fact that I love the Halloween season. That said, I do read a lot of entertainment websites and I’m a voracious film fan so I’m usually in the know on most avenues of pop culture even if I don... Continue reading »
Nine Years Later
Nine years ago today, on one of those storybook examples of a New England Indian Summer’s Day, the type that usually fade with the true descent into Fall, Andi and I awoke bright and early on a fine Saturday morning with the sole directive that we were going to the chapel and we were gonna’ get married.
Here we are as close to a decade as one can come and it really still feels like the beginning. Sure – a lot has changed in the nine years since that brilliant, sun-dappled morning, with our zip code migrating several counties westward and an assortment of creatures, great and small, arriving to seek cohabitation under our roof, but despite the many milestones we’ve already climbed together, it really feels like the great adventure stretches onward. Trivia of Terror – Round 1 – Results Edition
UPDATED – Answers and results have been appended to each question and you’ll find the leaderboard below. Round 2 questions will be up on Sunday October 4th sometime in that morning, due to the holiday and the fact that I’ll be away on Monday. I’ll send up the Bat signal as soon as I have the questions up.
Here we are with Round 1 of Trivia of Terror. As I mentioned last week, this contest will run for 4 weeks, with a new round of 10 questions being posted each Monday morning.

Trivia of Terror
I’m back with a brand new pop-culture based trivia contest, just in time for Halloween. Last year, we rung in the holidays with the Ho Ho Ho Throwdown, which I hope to repeat again this December. Following that, we had the Breakin’ Big Hair Brawl – a battle royale through the world of Eighties-themed entertainment and then finally we chased that with Fists of Flannel, where we did the time warp to the grunge-fueled 90s.
Following that, I took a much needed siesta. Between the 3 contests, I came up with approximately 150 questions off the top of my head and I needed time to recharge.
