Fists of Flannel – Round 4 – Results Edition

private-obrien

[UPDATE:   The answers have been appended to the questions below. At the very bottom you’ll find the current Leaderboard. Round 5  Questions will be up Monday February 16th 2009 – by 8:00 a.m. EST]

So, we’re halfway through the contest and in looking at the Leaderboard, I’m encouraged by the fact that of the Top 8 contestants, we are split evenly along gender lines. When coming up with these questions, I try to hit a whole range of topics so that it’s not all Guy-centric. These results seem to prove my point that I’m an equal opportunity inquisitor.

Or, that I’m hated equally by guys and dolls.

Anyway, you know the drill but I’m going to run through it again. You have until 6:30 a.m. EST Thursday February 12, 2009 to send me your answers. Submissions can be sent to theedzone@gmail.com or via private message on Facebook. As always, no cheating. Meaning no Google, Yahoo, Wiki or consulting contestant Scott for the proper links to some cheat sites. He wouldn’t be able to find them for you anyway. (And with that Scott, I’m done milking it.)

Good luck.

  • How is it possible I sweep this round and still I am in sixth place? FRAUD!

  • I clearly paid more attention to the 90’s…or else those brain cells have not checked out yet.

@ Ed-re #8… for the love of all that is holy…it’s the BeAtles, not the Beetles

  • @Matt – It’s possible because you sucked each round before.

@Aunt Sharon – As soon as I recognize them as anything more than overrated, I’ll start paying attention to the spelling.

Yeah – I went there. (…and I’m probably just kidding. Probably.)

  • Ummmm….that got your UNCLE Ron’s attention ( as opposed to his Mamma Mia swaying dancing queen alter ego, Aunt Ron) and you don’t wanna go THERE!

    ( Actually…both are kind’a scary…)

I will allow that anyone born after the BeAtles broke up, do not possess the ability to appreciate them, since their musical childhood was populated with over-rated under-talented hair bands, and, of course, Michael Jackson and Madonna. You’re excused.

  • @ Aunt Sharon – Don’t lump all Ed’s friends into that lack of ability to appreciate the Beatles – Although I did grow up with a hefty dose of ‘hair-band’ (and have the pictures to prove it) – I have a GREAT appreciation of John, Paul, George and Ringo – own every one of their albums (albeit on CD) (and numerous bootleg stuff 😉 ) We all don’t have Ed’s bad taste in music (and honestly, it’s not ‘that’ bad 😉 )

  • @Joe-at least his ability to pick friends is waaay better than his apparent taste in music!

  • @Joe- Explain my bad taste in music! I’d like to hear this. And while you’re at it, regale us with tales from Lillith Fairs 1997 – 1999.

  • Oh, “Why so Serious” 🙂
Was just piling on from your Aunt Sharon’s comments – I know you like most of the stuff I do… (except for the chick rock, I think I’ve got that covered alone – bring on the Lillith Fair questions!!!) 😛

  • re-Lillith Faire – anyone need Uncle Ron’s number? You MUST have seen him there!

Now, enough if this banter…I’m going to read Lost!

  • Nah, won’t need Uncle Ron – got those questions covered – Ed/Sean used to razz me for my like of Natalie Merchant, Sarah McLachlan et al. (we all need a softer side, just not as much as what Uncle Ron is rumored to have… 😀 )
