The Breakin’ Big Hair Brawl – Round 3 – Results Edition

[UPDATE: The answers have been appended to the questions below. At the very bottom you'll find the current Leaderboard. Round 4 Questions will be up Monday January 12th 2009 - by 8:00 a.m. EST]
We’re getting a little separation at the top, but not much. I really think this contest (almost a week old) is still anyone’s game. Once you put the finishing touches on today’s submission, I’ll give you the weekend off and then we’ll be back on Monday for the Back 9. I would advise that you hit up Netflix and rent every teen sex comedy released between 1982 and 1986. You’re really gonna’ want to bone up on Porky’s. Or maybe not.
And as I spy my current queue, I see that C.H.U.D. II: Bud the C.H.U.D. and Killer Klownz from Outer Space suddenly have very long waits. Looks like my little contest has tickled that nostalgia spot.
As always, the rules are simple. Read the questions and then e-mail your answers to theedzone@gmail.com or via private message on Facebook. No cheating of course (no Google, Yahoo, spouse, etc).
Everyone has until 7:00 a.m. EST Saturday January 10th to send me their answers. Results will be posted that morning.
Good luck!!!

if it wasn’t for the multiple choice and being able to narrow it down that way (and still guessing…), this one would have me in a world of hurt.

Wow…did waaaay better than I thought I would, only missed the ones I gave to which I gave facetious answers( c’mon, “Breakin’ 2 – Bustin’ yer balls” is just begging to be a sequel title, in what genre, I am not sure) and my guesses worked out in my favor this time. I did notice that when channel surfing is occurring- and I have been down with a really bad cold this week so I have been one surfer dude- I am hitting ” info” to get the year, title, and stars, and watching a little if it fits the profile!!
Kind’a sad, really…I have such great literature to read too.

Wow….can’t believe I got Run DMC. They were literally just the only 80′s rap group I could thing of.

Ed, do you really know all of this stuff off the top of your head? If so, is that why you shaved all of your hair off? To get this stuff out easier, I bet

@Tracy – You nailed it. I have a photographic memory for pop-cultural stuff but if I walk 3 inches into the woods, I’ll never find my way out. : )

Well, Jason ( a non-participant in this one)stopped by today to visit the pugs and as I was railing against the evil minutia of Ed’s Head, I said ” Breakin’ 2-like ANYBODY knows the subtitle to that!”. In which he calmly replied ” Electric Boogaloo”, like everyone should know that…He then told me that his crowd uses that as a hang tag for any idiotic sequel name. How was I to know…?
And Ron loves 2 1/2 men and was obsessed with the coffee mugs that they use. Jessi was able to finally find them on Amazon for Christmas-just before they all turned up on ebay!I think it might be the vicarious living aspect of the Charlie character- and the pathetic identification with the brother!
