The Breakin’ Big Hair Brawl – Round 2 – Results Edition

I know – you’re not here to listen to me babble. You’ve come for 80′s trivia and the last thing you need is a trademark Ed Humphries rambling manifesto to kick-start your day. Well, too bad. The questions are below – just aching for you to find them, but first you have to wade through this sea of drivel. Hey, my name’s on the site so I demand the spotlight.
First off, I’ve got to throw a heaping helping of mad props your way. This marks the 3rd trivia contest I’ve run in the last year or so. The first Ho Ho Ho Throwdown was run in December ’07. And of course, we just closed the books on H3T ’08 just a couple weeks back. And now, we’re just barely out of the starting gates for the Breakin’ Big Hair Brawl – the first of hopefully many such contests, assuming you dig this sort of thing.
Anyway, the point is, the participation has grown in leaps and bounds and I couldn’t be happier. It’s a little bit of work but fun to run.
The first H3T had 2 (TWO!!!) participants. This year’s H3T grew to 15. And now with the Breakin’ Big Hair Brawl – we’ve assembled a crowded field of 27 contestants with the gender lines drawn fairly even (15 Guys to 12 Dolls). This keeps up, I may have to hire staff.
With Round 1 down, we still have plenty more to come. Five more rounds of blistering trivia action and badly Photoshopped pics of my mug await. Round 2 begins now. Remember – no cheating. Meaning no Wiki-anything, Google this or Yahoo that.

Darn it! Leather was the first thing that popped into my head but I thought it was because she wore a leather jacket. Oh and I don’t want to be picky but that tootsie roll commercial is much older than the 8o’s. Yes, I also said “a 3″.(sour grapes i guess)

All right – time for a disclaimer.
Not every question may involve something born in the 80′s but my prime directive when drafting the questions is that anything in heavy rotation in the 80′s (meaning Happy Days reruns, Laverne & Shirley, Tootsie Pop commercial, etc…) was fair game.
C’mon people. I came up with 84 qustions off the top of my head. Cut me some slack. : )
