The 2008 Ho Ho Ho Throwdown – Round 6 – Results Edition

Editor’s Note – The answers have been appended to the questions below. And at the very bottom, you’ll find the leaderboard. I’ll put up a new post to crown the Winners shortly.

Geez – if you guys would ever stop cheating and making a beeline for Google every time I post these questions, we might actually get some drama among the top five or so. I kid, of course. I truly believe every single person in this contest has been on the up-and-up. None more so than Dan. Sorry Dan. I know that’s two playful jabs in the same week but you are the same guy that crammed me into the back of your CRX hatchback a long time ago so you sorta’ have it coming to you. : )

Anyway, here we are at the end. Your only friend. The end.

Round 6 begins now. Remember to buzz in below and e-mail your answers to theedzone@gmail.com. The deadline for submissions is 7:00 a.m. Saturday December 20, 2008.

  • Um…I missed #4 and you marked me as correct, so that makes me a loser to my son…RATS! And just for the record, I meant the Michael Keaton Jack Frost where he’s a talking snowman!

  • @Aunt Sharon – Just a typo when transcribing my notebook to the site. I had you marked as incorrect in the notebook meaning the overall Leaderboard tally remains the same. You tied.

  • Hey Ed – I’m pretty sure I had “Batman and Robin” for #4 (even made a comment about how you had to say the lines as “Ahhhnold”…

  • And again – a typo in transcription. Doesn’t change the Leaderboards and doesn’t change the fact that you are not in the Top 3.

  • I stand corrected. Joe – you got 9 right so I have updated the Leaderboard. Now you have sole possession of 4th place.

  • I agree with Aunt Sharon RE: The Kinks. Father Christmas is one of my all time faves.

Now, when I sent my answers in, I mentioned I had never heard of Holiday Road as a song, thus it was my choice. Now that you mention in your blurb, the chorus rings in my head and that is too funny. I was obviously thinking only holiday tunes. Good question!

Finally, now we know why Ed was so readily able to spell Mele Kalikimaka for our waitress at the BBC.
