Two Faced

The Hollywood Reporter has a story this morning confirming that Aaron Eckhart is in final negotiations to play Harvey Dent/Two-Face in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight. Absolutely perfect casting!!! I think Eckhart imparts a nice duality to the role -as he oftens comes across as a noble tough guy one moment and a smooth criminal the next. I am a huge fan of Batman Begins. This sequel can’t come soon enough.

You know, for a long time I thought Aaron Eckhart was the actor in those Inconsider Cell Phone Guy commercials at movie theaters.

    Anyway, I agree, good casting.

Yes, good casting, but I always felt that trying to have more than one major villain in the Batman films doomed them. Batman Returns was good because Catwoman sorta straddles the line.

By the looks of things, this won’t be the case for the Spiderman flicks given how good 3 looks.

Maybe it is just a case of the person running the show. Maybe they’ll feature more Harvey Dent than Two-Face so that the focus is on the Joker. We’ll see.

He’s Harvey Dent in The Dark Knight setting him up for the third film where Two Face will be the villain.
