I understand. I didn't realize you had a connection to her. That whole thing was awful (to say the least). It's good of King and O'Nan to pay tribute to her this way.

And as I didn't say it before, congrats!

Yeah - Victoria Snelgrive is my sister-in-law's cousin. This pic was taken at a benefit for her trust last October. The guy on the left is Stewart O'Nan.

What's the story behind the King photo?

And is it me, or is he looking more and more like Colonel Sanders?

And I recognize Victoria Snelgrove on that booklet he's holding--she's the undergrad who was killed during the ALCS riot in '04. I kept looking at that and thinking, "I've seen that photo a hundred times"...I was still taking classes at Emerson during that time, so the picture was everywhere. This seems to explain the connection.

Congratulations on making it to 100 posts. Not bad for a little over seven months effort.

As for missing your calling, I don't think you did. Maybe this is it. You entertain your friends, family and the occasional Lost or 24 junkie with your musings in a blog. It's a new century and a new media, so maybe this was the one you were meant to write in, but you had to work the financial services angle until it was ready for you. Of course, we could always pimp you out with some Google and/or Yahoo! ads and you can quit that 9-to-5, but there is something to be said for stability and health insurance, right? :)

Anyway, congrats again and I am happy to have done my part to make this parcel of cyberspace yours. Here's to your next 100!
