King Conan

I am not a fan of award shows - but I did catch Conan O’Brien’s taped Emmy segment that introduced the show last night. It’s well produced and very funny - touching on my favorite shows Lost, The Office, and 24. Also - the riff on ‘To Catch a Predator IV’ or whatever that Dateline segment is called, is spot-on. Good stuff. Check it out here.

Yeah, I thought he did well. Harvard alumns represent!

The Newhart bit was funny, though mostly due to Newhart himself.

Agreed on Newhart. That guy seems timeless… and fearless!!! Conan had to have tapped his writers for a number of those bits.

Of course, Conan was great. Hey - he wrote one of my favorite Simpsons episodes ever. Anyone who could dream up ‘School of Hard Knockers’ is O.K. in my book.

Okay, I got it now. It had been taking so long to DL, that I kept skipping it, but I just waited and it was pretty good. The Office part was the best and South Park next. That one gives me a good soundbite for use some day, “Mr. O’Brien, come out of the closet.”
