@Joe - Too late! I already posted it on my blog when you told me about it and figured you wouldn't post on Scooby cuz you are lazy. Apparently not too lazy since you'll post off-topic things here...

BTW - People do go to the Scooby site, but maybe not for much longer since you aren't posting this kind of thing there. I have stats that prove it.

Oh, and in case you thought the Pearl Jam stuff here was an off-topic comment I put here, you'd be wrong. It is a pingback and it happens automatically if you publish a post with a link to another blog post that is accepting pingbacks. I referenced the cuttle-fish thing here with link since Eddie is singing about it in "Big Wave."

Since this is a "random topic" post... I'll add another Random topic (put it here since no one goes to the Scooby site)
Looks like George Lucas needs/wants another influx of cash in his bank account...

[...] Big Wave Okay, I pulled out the book. I have no idea what he’s saying, so maybe if I follow along, I’ll get it? Yeah, we’ll see how this goes… Yeah, he was talking about a cuttle-fish or something at the start there. Hmm…is he really talking about surfing here or is it a metaphor for something that I don’t get. Yeah, it’s probably that. The ex-surfer dude wouldn’t sing about surfing and I’m not too smart and pick up on the meanings of songs unless it’s blatant. It’s a gift. [...]

You brought him in by bringing up the nickname topic and referencing Scrim and I didn't call him contemptible. I simply plugged Mook into dictionary.com, like the other words he decided were nicknames. Click on the link and see for yourself I am not making this up. It would seem that while those names don't fit me, his sorta fits him. Then again, we all have our contemptible moments and we are all insignificant in the great World collective. Amongst we Scoobs, Mook is very significant. Without him, I wouldn't have my favorite whipping boy and would have to turn back on Joe...

BTW - How did I bring Mook into this particular discussion. I referenced him in my Blog but I don't think I paid particular attention to or cast any aspersions his way. It is you, OB, that called him contemptible.

@Ed - No, I was thinking that name had been used somehow before also. Maybe it's the close approximation to Mookiefish that is throwing me off, but I agree, it's the same as Scrim in that it has no meaning and shouldn't stick, but if it did, then I'll just continue to ignore or just pull it out on myself once and a while. It no longer has any effect on me now because we've been thru this particular ringer a few times already. Consider it beat to a bloody pulp, like... Last Kiss.

@Jen - Actually, that couldn't be further from the truth. He's not much fun anymore, so I'm not bothering with him. It was Ed that brought him into this particular discussion. In fact, you may want to point that pointy finger at him instead of me. I don't think I have ever mentioned Mook in my blog, but he's in 75% of Ed's postings...

Sean, your motives are so transparent. The endless name dropping of Mook, the constant teasing, writing his initials in your school books.. Why don't you stop pretending & admit what we've all known all along...your true feelings for the Mookster go beyond the platonic?

Man, you gotta' brush up on your reading comprehension skills. See the following:

"Granted Cuttlefish is not the name he offered as an alternative, but I am hoping that through repetition, it will stick."

See - it means nothing. It's just so ludicrous, I wanted to see if it would stick. But OB's fine. If you want to be named after a pregnancy test, no problem here.

In all seriousness though, you've been OB so long, I don't see how we could ever fully adopt Scrim. Through shear force of habit, we'd still call you OB.

Now, BaldBeard. That's a different story.
