Someone Get Me An NCAA Bracket
In reading my 1999 review of Dark City, I happened upon the following passage (about scribe David Goyer):
“Someone give this guy the next Batman, and marvel at the fiery phoenix risen from the ashes.”
Someone was listening. Goyer wrote last year’s Batman Begins - one of my favorite flicks of 2005 and the best Batman flick to date.

I’d like to see Goyer work with Proyas again on an original film like Dark City (not an adaptation). But in general I like Goyer, though he can be hit-or-miss (see Blade Trinity, a film made watchable only by Ryan Reynolds). Separate neither of them are quite as good as when they work together–I, Robot anyone?
And I hope they get Crispin Glover as the Joker for the next Batman.
