Superman II is a great film, but it still has its share of campiness that ran throughout the previous films in the series. Singer got rid of all that and thought about what would a world really be like with a Superman and also what it would be like without one. I think the effects were all pretty invisible in the sense that you didn’t notice it was an effect. This type of thing seems to happen more often now, but we’ll still have Snakes on a Plane to remind us it’s still out there. Little things like the entry and exit of the atmosphere were nice touches. All the flying was well done, although you never got the sense of how fast he really could go. I know it’s sort of stupid, but even the curly-Q bang of the Superman character as good. The uniform was as understated as they could make it while being true to it. I think the muted red of the cape and the texture of the fabric, similar to the film Spiderman costume, made the difference. I mean, the guy is still flying around with his tighty-reddies on the outside. [...] [...] Next up is the little things that made this the best Superman movie made. For Slither, I think they should go with "Worms in my Brain." That's if I heard the horrible radio commercial correctly tonight and they are alien worms or some other such nonsense. 2. Yes, I sent the picture, but I believe I prefaced it with the thought it might be a fake. The picture was certainly believeable enough and we all know guys look at the pictures and don't read the words... which I did not until after I sent it. 3. No beach front property, but I do have a domain to sell. In fact, it's this one. Anyone interested in that? ;) 1. Yes, this movie is very real. 2. Did you create that first 'poster' featuring a bad clip job of Sam 'The Man'? No, I did not. Please - I think I know a little something about Photoshop. The last pic in the post is the actual teaser poster - which I first spied in Entertainment Weekly. When I Googled 'Snakes on a Plane official teaser poster' the first pic that came up was that 'Mother F'n Plane' one. It is so hilariously awful, I decided to lead with that. The second pic was sent to me by Sean - who was fooled into thinking it was the actual poster. I don't know - with credits declaring the film is written by Michael Crichton, produced by George Lucas, directed by M. Night Shyamalan - I can see how a guy could be duped. He'd respond, but he's currently knee deep in the Okefenokee surveying the 'beach front property' he just purchased 'real cheap.'
